An architects penthouse on an old industrial monument, rough on the outside, high class and exclusive on the inside.
On the sixth floor of Lindower Strasse 18 is a 113 square meters representative penthouse in a modern design with wooden elements. A bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a living and dining area, a hidden kitchen front, floor-to-ceiling windows, a partially covered roof terrace, underfloor heating throughout and a guest toilet make this apartment ideal for social evenings, but it is just as suitable as an inspiring place to stay for urban nomads.
The interior concept of this penthouse consists of vintage furniture from the 50s, 60s and 70s - highlights are the mid-century chairs from Scandinavia and the custom-made dining table made of travertine. The kitchen, with a gold-colored wall, can be elegantly hidden behind a cabinet door. The earthy, light beige and gray tones are rounded out with a dark bottle green and matte black. The excerpts from Martin Schöller's "Close Up" photo series, prominently placed in the hallway and living room, give the space a gallery-like feeling - like an intimate, private art exhibition above the rooftops of the city.
The strong-character design results in an exciting but coherent mix of materials in this penthouse: walls of wood meet concrete, weightless linen curtains meet patinated leather, and fine vintage bouclé meets limestone.
